An astrologer's day

An astrologer's day was written by R.K Narayan. He was showing the cleverness of an astrologer in his livelihood. The astrologer is the main character of the story whose name wasn't given. He used to shell his astrologic Devine power to survive. He wasn't well known from astrology calculations but he showed them as a skilled well known astrologer.

The astrologer is succeed to use his brain to the villagers. We can find revenge, selfish and Hippocrates in this story. He used to go in one village in a day time. He sit under the tree and open his shop. He thought that place is suitable for him and his job. Many people passes from that way Near him one merchant used to shell peanut there. Even it was night the light of merchant makes him to do his task easily. He can read others heart and thought easily. So he got success in his task.

He have many tools as he is an astrologer's like a piece of clothes a snails covers, a chart of prediction, and wooded paper with script. He didn't know well purpose of this instrument but he do as well known because he want to attract his costumer. He wear the custom of astrologer to make believe on people. He use ash for his forehead. He wear yellow cap. Even he was null on astrology education, he was too cleaver. He leaved the village because he doesn't attract on his father's occupation. His father was farmer.

One night when peanut merchant close the light, he also put his instrument to the bag. He saw one man standing infront of him at that moment. He though him as customer. He called the man. Man give 1 aana to astrologers and ask him some questions. If astrologer can't give his answer well, he will took his money back. The astrologer says the cost of answer of 1 answer is 3 paisa. And for for best he must pay 5 rupees. The man says if satisfied of astrologers answer he will give him 16 aana. But if he doesn't satisfy astrologer must pay double of it. Both accept the deal.

Then the man start smoking and the astrologer was seeing the man. The astrologer cancel the deal and request to leave him. But the man catch him warn to not cancel the deal. Then the astrologer start talking about a women. He talked that someone has attract the man by knife. The man was listening that. He says that after attract he throw the body to well. One man save his life.

Definitely the man was searching the person who attract to him. He ask astrologer to find out him. He is full of emotion of revenge. Astrologer says that the man who attract him died 4 month ago. Then the man got disappointed. The man in front of astrologer was Guru Nayak. Astrologer says him to go his village which takes 2 days to reach in north. Astrologer suggest him not to go in South direction. He request the man to return his home. The vital problem will occurs when you leave the home.

The man want to know how does he died 4 month ago. The astrologer describe that a heavy loaded truck drive over him. Then the man leave there by paying astrologer.

Then the astrologer pack his materials and return to home. He gives the coin he earned to his wife for calculating. There was just 12.5 aana. The wife got happy and plan to buy chocolate and coconut for her children. But the astrologer was sad and angry of Guru Nayak, because the Nayak offer for 16 aana and only paid 12.5 aana. After dinner he opened the mystery of his life to his wife. The person who attack the man was the same astrologer. So he said to her wife he solve big problem of his life. ☺️
