Achievement: ‘Yantrika’ 0.1 Beta Version, the first Humanoid Artificial Intelligence (AI) Robot developed by the Faculty of Technology, Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), has been placed in the #2nd position at the "SMART Maker Festival 2020" organised by SMART Society Canada, Business Upside, USA and IEM America Corporation and IEM-UEM.
"NAST has been receiving positive response from national and international sectors regarding robot.Many companies have been asking us to manufacture the robot for them,but we have told them to support us in research and development and we will support them to transfer technology to manufacture the robot."
Yantrika or Corona Combat Visitor's Service Robot is the beta - version of the first-ever autonomous humanoid robot developed by NAST, in collaboration with the Technical Group of people named Innovative Group. Yantrika 0.1 is designed, research, developed, and fabricated by the faculty of Technology, Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST). Some of the exceptional attributes of Yantrika 0.1 are : - Blending of art and technology. - Automatic contactless measurement of body temperature. - Sanitizer dispenser to sanitize hands. - Face mask detection with face mask vending unit. - informative touch screen display for convenience. - wheeled locomotion. Yantrika 2.0 is expected to be released by late 2021 with superior features, enhanced neural networking, and elevated processing power.
