| Mt.Everest New height announced. |
Nepal’s “initiative” to measure the height of Mt. Everest after the speculation that the height of the Mt.Everest might not be same after 2015 earthquake and effects of global warming has come to an end.
Just today, when Honorable Foreign Minister Pradip Gyawali announced that the height of Mt Everest has increased by 0.86 centimeters, many speculations turned wrong as people thought the new height would be less than 8848 meters.
In completing this challenging process, Nepal coordinated with Chinese government. During Chinese president Xi Jinping’s Nepal visit in 2019, an agreement was signed to announce the height of Mt. Everest jointly.
Now the height of Mt.Everest is 8848.86 m.(29,032 ft)
