Tihar, additionally called as Diwali or Deepawali, or Yamapanchak or Swanti , positions second after to Dashain in Nepal.It is the second largest festival of Nepalese not only hindus.It is observed and celebrated among all caste and religion with the mutual co-operation.This festival enhanced the closeness among brothers and sisters and make their relationship more strong.It normally happens in Nepali Kartik month (October to November in Solar Calendar) and proceeds for five days.

During this celebration, individuals will respect crows, dogs, Cows as Laxmi, the goddess of wealth and karma. As various candles and bubbly lamps are going to be lit up for the Goddess of Laxmi, Tihar is likewise notable because of celebration of lights.

Since Nepal lunar calender won't be distributed ahead of time, we were unable to sort out the specific date of Tihar Festival. Anyway, it frequently falls between mid-October and mid-November. Also, Nepalese have spent this brilliant lights celebration from Nov.9 to 13 in  2015 , Oct.28 to Nov.1 in  2016 , 17 Oct to 21 Oct in 2017 , 5 Nov to 9 Nov in 2018 and 25 Oct to 29 Oct in 2019. 

In addition ,in this year 2020 tihar will be fall and celebrated with the happiness from 13 Nov to 16 Nov (here is the only 4 days of celebration this year because govardhan Puja and Bhai tika falls on same day this year according to lunar calender).

Since this year Tihar falls from kartik 28 to Mangsir 1 but Nepal Government have requested all Nepalese to celebrate festival with in their current location with maintaining social distancing due to corona Pandemic.

We should celebrate tihar festival and many others too many festivals that we have but we must not spread bad cultures like of playing cards and playing so many other means of social evils.We should follow the original one and should replace and eradicate if original one is not suitable in now context if possible.
